Human Centric Lighting (HCL)

Human Centric Lighting

It supports circadian rhythms in the human body. These have a major impact on our health, wellbeing and productivity. Simulation of normal sunlight with artificial lighting supports the natural circadian rhythms in the human body. The change in chromaticity temperature at different hours creates natural conditions to support the body’s internal rhythms. Circadian rhythm is a biological rhythm that controls the timing of various activities during the day. Depending on the surrounding conditions, it sets the body to rest or high performance. Therefore, the right period affects alertness and increases the organism’s productivity.

Where Human Centric Lighting is used

It’s particularly justified in offices, schools, kindergartens, hospitals or retirement homes. However, it can also be applied in industrial or agricultural buildings. While we use a lower chromaticity temperature for relaxation, during the day we use a higher temperature for maximum performance and concentration. We can plan the day according to needs and indirectly support users in the activity. A good example is the use in kindergartens, where we start with a warmer colour in the morning, and during the day we activate children’s concentration and perception with cold white. We can then rest before the lunch break with a lower chromaticity temperature.

The use of this technology is very extensive and we’re able to offer it to you in all our products. Greater availability of modules and power supplies also contributed to greater availability of individual components. The 50 thousand hours L80B10 module life offers a durable system with pleasant added value, which can brighten the user’s mind and mental health. With a range of 2,700—6,500 K, we can then plan each space individually.
